The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world. It extends over a third of the earth’s surface. The Pacific contains around 25,000 islands, most of which are located south of the equator. In the South Pacific there are beautiful islands with beautiful beaches.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ISLANDS OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC
The South Pacific is one of the most beautiful areas for island and beaches lovers to visit. There are islands of all shapes and sizes, high volcanic islands and flat coral atolls with all the appropriate variants. Among the most famous and visited islands are some of the islands of the Society archipelago in French Polynesia. Among them the island of Bora Bora with its spectacular lagoon and the mountain that characterizes it. While the island of Moorea is famous for its spectacular mountains. Little-known gem of this archipelago is the island of Maupiti, a miniature of Bora Bora. The Tuamotu islands are the paradise of atolls, while the Marquesas islands are mountainous and wild. The island of Raivavae in the Austral islands is another island still to be discovered by tourism but whose lagoon is often compared to that of Bora Bora.
In the Cook Islands there are both mountainous islands such as Rarotonga and coral atolls with a spectacular lagoon like that of Aitutaki. The Samoa islands are wild and here you can find still untouched Polynesian traditions as well as lush nature and beautiful beaches. The island of Ofu with its serrated mountains and its long white sand beach is among the wildest and most spectacular in the Pacific.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC
In our opinion the most beautiful beaches in the Pacific and where there are the most beautiful colors of the water, are those of New Caledonia. In particular are spectacular those of the Loyalty Islands – that is, the islands of Lifou, Maré, Ouvea – and the Isle of Pines. On the island of Lifou the beach of Luengoni is spectacular. While in Ouvea the beach of Mouli and the colors of the lagoon are heavenly. Finally on the island of Mare the beaches along the south coast are truly beautiful. In the Isle of Pines, the beaches of Kanumera and Kuto and the Natural Pool area are the most beautiful.
The most scenic beach in the South Pacific is, in our opinion, that of the island of Ofu in the Manu’a Islands in the archipelago of American Samoa.
THE BEACHES IN FRENCH POLYNESIA ARE ON MOTU
Among the beaches of French Polynesia, on the famous island of Bora Bora we find Matira beach, while on the small island of Maupiti, there are the beaches of Tereia and motu Auira. On the island of Moorea the most beautiful beach is that of Temae, which is located between the Sofitel and the airport. While on the island of Huahine the most beautiful is the beach of Avea, located in the southern part of the island. The Rangiroa atoll has among its attractions the splendid Lagon Bleu.
In the Cook Islands, in addition to the motu beaches in the Aitutaki lagoon, there are some beautiful beaches also on the island of Rarotonga, in particular along the Muri Lagoon and near the Black Rock. In the Samoa islands the most beautiful is the Ofu beach in American Samoa, other beautiful beaches are located on the island of Upolu, in particular along the southern coast of the island, in the areas of Aleipata, Salamumu and Lefaga.
At Fiji the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands are the best known. In the Yasawa one of the most beautiful beaches is that of Blue Lagoon Beach on the island of Nacula. A strip of sand over a kilometer long with a postcard sea in front of it. On the island of Waya the Octopus Beach is very beautiful. Spectacular are the beaches of the island of Yasawa, the northernmost of the archipelago of the same name. Another place to see is the lagoon between the Narara and Naukacuvu islands. Other very beautiful beaches are located in the isolated Lau islands. On the remote Easter Island there is only one beach, the beautiful Anakena beach.
