Phi Phi islands climate: when to go to the Phi Phi islands

The islands of the archipelago of Phi Phi have a tropical monsoons climate hot and humid, with a rainy season that begins in May and lasts until October, during these months we have averages of about 20 days of rain per month.

Between December and March, the rain falls drastically, on average it rains for three days per month, this is the dry season, which is the best time to travel to the islands. Annually fall more than 2,200 mm of rain, the month of September is the wettest month, January and February are the driest.

Temperatures remain constant throughout the year, the average maximum temperatures vary between 34°C and 30°C, and the average minimum temperatures between 24°C and 26°C.

Also the temperature of the sea water is constant between 29°C to 27°C making swimming in the sea good all year.


The best time for a trip to the Phi Phi Islands are the driest months between December and March.
