Lombok climate: when to go to Lombok

The climate of Lombok is a hot and humid tropical climate, very similar to that of the nearby island of Bali, the temperatures are stable throughout the year, while for the rains there are two seasons, a rainy season between November and March and a dry season between April and October.

The average maximum temperatures vary between 33°C in December, the warmest month, and 28°C in July, the coldest month, while the average minimum temperatures vary between 24°C and 22°C.

The island is a little less rainy than the nearby Bali, here fall about 1,500 mm of rain per year, the southern and eastern parts of Lombok are the driest. Rainy days have annual average of 140, the wettest month is January with 280 mm of rainfall distributed in 21 days. The driest month is August with only 19 mm of rainfall spread over just two days.

The temperature of the sea water is stable between 26°C and 29°C throughout the year.

The best time to visit the island of Lombok are the driest months between April and October.
