Phuket tourist attractions: what to see in Phuket

Phuket has become one of the most important tourist destinations of Thailand with its beaches, its tropical climate, and a rich and vibrant nightlife.

The main tourist center of the island of Phuket is Patong Beach, located on the Andaman Sea, in the middle of the west coast along a strip of white sand. Here you will find great hotels, shopping malls, stores, and is concentrated here, in the areas of Bangla Road and Paradise Complex, most of the nightlife on the island of Phuket.

The coasts of the island are jagged with many bays and rich in beaches, the best beaches are along the west coast, overlooking the Andaman Sea, while on the east coast the beaches are not very pretty, along this coast there are numerous islands.

Among the most beautiful and popular beaches, to the north of Patong, are Kamala Beach, Surin Beach and Bang Tao Beach, while to the south of Patong, are Karon Beach, Kata Beach, Kata Noi Beach, on the southern tip of the island are the beaches of Nai Harn Beach and Rawai Beach, and before this is the small island of Ko Bom.

The Sirinat National Park protects a part of the north-western coast of the island, including the beach of Nai Yang Beach where sea turtles lay their eggs

To the north-west of Phuket are the Similan Islands, a national park and a paradise for scuba divers. The famous Phi Phi Islands are located 50 km south-east of Phuket.
