Marbella (120,000 inhabitants) is an important seaside resort on the Costa del Sol in Andalusia, Spain. The Costa del Sol is made up of around 150 km of coastline. Along this strip of coast are some of the best beaches in Europe, yacht ports, surrounded by fantastic mountain ranges, valleys full of crops, sub-tropical landscapes, and more than 40 golf courses, exclusive shopping centers, and surprising life night.

BEACHES AND BATHING LIFE

Famous for its gardens and beaches, Marbella offers tourists a special panorama, a contrast of the sea, mountains, towns and cosmopolitan cities. The modern area is full of large building blocks that have grown up around its historic center and harbor. But old Marbella with its balconies full of flowers and its white houses is still delightful today.

One of the most beautiful places in Marbella is the “Plaza de los Naranjos”, which is located next to the main street in the old historic center. The 16th-century town hall and the tourist office overlook it. The area is full of small shops, art galleries, restaurants, bars and bistros and is the center of activities both day and night.

Avenida del Mar is one of the most beautiful walks along the coast, lined with restaurants and bars. Marbella offers many natural attractions mixed with roads, parks, botanical gardens, walks and pleasure areas.

Marbella has 27 kilometers of coastline distributed in 24 different beaches. The most famous of which are: Rio Verde, Nagueles, Casa Blanca, La Fontanilla, El Faro, La Venus, La Bajadilla, El Cable, El Pinillo, Los Monteros, La Vibora, Real de Zaragoza, Las Canas. While located in the nearby town of San Pedro de Alcantara are the beaches of Guadalmina, Linda Vista and San Pedro de Alcantara. Next to Puerto Banus are the beaches of Nueva Andalucia, and Puerto Banus.
