SPAIN: DOCUMENTS

The citizen of a member country of the European Union, can move and reside freely in Spain. For European citizens, an identity card issued by the municipality, valid for expatriation or a passport, is required for entry into Spain. Hospital medical care in Spain is good across the country. To receive medical assistance it is necessary to present the European Health Insurance Card. The Spanish health service has a dense network of health centers and hospitals, distributed across the nation. If circumstances require, medical assistance can be provided in the patient’s home.
