The climate of Honduras is tropical. Along the north coast overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the climate is warm and rainy all year round, with abundant rainfall on the Caribbean side. While at higher altitudes and on the highlands the temperatures tend to become cooler and the rains to decrease.
