Sharjah has a desert climate of hot and dry type, characterized by low and erratic rainfall, and high levels of temperature, humidity and hours of sunlight. The city’s climate is characterized by mild winters and very hot and muggy summers.

In winter, between November and March the weather is ideal, being warm and sunny, with cool nights and daytime temperatures between 18 ° C and 30 ° C. In summer, from May to September, the climate is warm with temperatures in the mid-day in July and August reaching 40 ° C, during these two months the humidity reaches values ​​of 100%.

The rainfall is very scarce and irregular, and occur almost exclusively from November to April. Every year there are on average about 100 mm of precipitation. About 70% of the low annual rainfall falls in the months of February and March which are the months with the most rainfall during the year. Sharjah has an average of only 12 days of rain per year while it has more than 3,500 hours of sunshine per year.

The temperature of the seawater in Sharjah varies between 33 ° C in August and 21 ° C in the month of February.
