LITHUANIA DOCUMENTS

Documents: The citizen of the European Union who travels to Lithuania must have a passport or identity card valid for travel abroad. Even children and minors must have their own passport / identity card. For citizens of other nationalities a personal passport is mandatory. For citizens of some countries a visa may be required.

Driving license: A national driving license is required to drive in Lithuania.

Auto Insurance: Valid European insurance is required to enter Lithuania with your car.

LITHUANIA HEALTH INSURANCE, TRAVEL INSURANCE, AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Healthcare: Lithuanian hospitals are fairly good. To have access to the treatment reserved for Lithuanian citizens, you must present the European Health Insurance Card. We recommend that you take out travel and health insurance before departure. These insurances have negligible costs and cover any medical costs that you should incur on your trip to Lithuania.

Vaccinations: No vaccinations are required.

Internet: Internet is available from public access to the Lithuanian National Library and, to an increasing extent, in numerous Internet points and Internet cafes in major cities and towns. In addition, most hotels have free WIFI internet.

Bank Opening Hours: Banks in Lithuania are generally open Monday to Friday from 9 to 17. Some banks also remain open on Saturday from 9 to 13.
