The climate of Suriname is equatorial, temperatures are warm and stable all year round and humidity is high, average maximum temperatures are around 29 ° C / 33 ° C and average minimum temperatures are 22 ° C / 23 ° C throughout the year.
The coast of Suriname has two relatively dry seasons ranging from February to April and from August to November. Even the rainy seasons are divided into two periods, between May and July and between December and January. The temperatures along the coasts are moderate by trade winds.
The first dry season, that of February to April, is relatively rainy and cooler, while the second dry season from August to November is less rainy but warmer. In the interior there is only one rainy season between April and September. The country is located outside the hurricane area. The capital Paramaribo has an annual average rainfall of 2,200 mm.
