MONTENEGRO: DOCUMENTS

Documents: To enter Montenegro, European citizens (including children and minors) must have their own personal passport or personal identity card valid for expatriation. Upon entry into Montenegro, a tourist pass is issued which must be presented to the border police upon departure. For citizens of some countries it may be necessary to obtain a Visa.

Driving license: To drive in Montenegro you need to have a valid national driving license.

Auto Insurance: To drive with your car in Montenegro you need to have a valid European insurance.

MONTENEGRO: HEALTH INSURANCE, TRAVEL INSURANCE, AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Healthcare: Montenegro’s healthcare facilities and hospitals are not at the levels of the best European countries. We recommend taking out health and travel insurance. These insurances with a negligible expense allow you to cover any medical expenses and even the costs of repatriation in the event of an accident.

MONTENEGRO: MOBILE PHONES AND INTERNET

Telephones: International dialing code to call Montenegro is 00382.

Mobile Phones: Montenegro has a fairly good GSM 900 and 1800 mobile phone network which covers the main population centers but excludes some sparsely populated areas of the country. Coverage is usually scarce only in the mountainous areas of the interior of the country.

Mobile operators: Telenor Montenegro, Telekom, m:tel.

Internet: Internet cafes and free Wi-Fi zones are located in the main cities of Montenegro. Most hotels and other accommodation facilities offer free WI-FI to their guests.

Electricity: The electric current of Montenegro is 220V / 50 Hz

Montenegro power plugs and sockets: The power plugs and sockets used in Montenegro are type C and F. Both power plugs and sockets are the same as those used in the rest of Europe. So in general it is not necessary to have universal adapters.
