Germany is often seen in the collective imagination as an industrialized and modern land, whose ancient cities were destroyed by the events of World War II, and where little is left of the history and arts of the past.

But Germany is instead a land rich in traditions, green, well cared and protected nature, ancient towns well-maintained and well-preserved, museums and cultural centers of avant-garde and modern, a land where the the discerning tourists can discover a wonderful country with city on a human scale and rich in art and history.

Germany has many aspects that can attract tourists, by the beauty of the Bavarian Alps or the Rhine Valley with its castles (Rheinstein), to the beautiful city rich in museums, history and buildings such as Berlin, Munich, Aachen, Hamburg, Augsburg, Koblenz, Cologne, Dresden, Hanover, Heidelberg, Leipzig, Lübeck, Mainz, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Stuttgart, Weimar.

Other reasons to visit Germany are the famous Christmas markets, which take place during the weeks of Advent in almost every German city, other events of reference are beer festivals, the most famous of which is the famous Oktoberfest in Munich.

Germany has a lot of small towns from the Middle Ages perfectly preserved, just waiting to be discovered, some are along the most famous touristic routes of the country as the routes in the valley of the Rhine, the Romantische Straße (Romantic Road) or the Deutsche Alpenstrasse, the road through the Alps of Bavaria. Among these, how can we forget Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Dinkelsbühl and Miltenberg in Bavaria, Michelstadt in Hesse.

To confirm the value and diversityof tourist and artistic places of Germany is the list of the 39 sites in Germany declared by UNESCO World Heritage sites, of which 3 have natural character and 36 have historical, artistic and cultural character. There are entire historic centers of cities such as the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, the historic centers of Stralsund, Wismar, Goslar, Bamberg, Quedlinburg, Weimar, Bremen and Regensburg. The capital city of Berlin with its parks and museums.
